Buying a home with a private well can add another item to an already busy inspection period. We can collect the water sample during your inspection and coordinate the laboratory analysis, giving you one less appointment to arrange.
Let us know what you need to learn
If your lender has requested testing, the requirements can vary by loan and property. Before the appointment, ask which parameters must be analyzed and what documentation they will accept. That lets us prepare the correct sample containers and coordinate the service around your closing timeline.
Our standard lender-focused sampling can include coliform bacteria and nitrates. The laboratory, rather than Level Home Inspections, performs the analysis and issues the results.
What happens at the property
We collect the sample using the handling procedure required by the laboratory, document the collection, and arrange delivery for analysis. When the results are ready, you receive the laboratory report for review with your lender or an appropriate water-treatment professional.
Sampling provides information about the water collected on that day. If a result needs attention, the next step depends on the substance found and the water system involved.
Price and scheduling
Well water sampling is $299 and is collected during your home inspection. It is available as an inspection add-on. Tell us about your lender’s requirements and closing date before the visit so we can coordinate the lab’s collection and delivery schedule.
Coordinate it with your inspection
If you already need a home inspection, combining the appointments can simplify access to the property and keep the inspection period moving.
Certified for water sampling
Our InterNACHI Water Quality Tester certification supports the sample-collection service. The laboratory performs the analysis and issues your results.
About the lab
