We are owner-operated: the owner performs your inspection, writes your report, and answers your questions afterward. You deal with the same inspector from start to finish. A home inspection should leave you with a clearer understanding of the home and someone you can turn to with questions. Level Home Inspections serves buyers, sellers, and homeowners across Roanoke and Southwest Virginia with a calm, practical reading of the property.
A report that helps you plan
We sort findings into what needs attention now, what is worth monitoring, and what is simply normal for the home’s age. No house is perfect. The goal is to understand the visible condition of this home and decide what deserves the next call, conversation, or maintenance plan.
Check our credentials
You can view our earned certifications on Jeff’s InterNACHI profile, verify IAC2-95642 in IAC2’s consultant directory, and view our NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist certification, 24MS056. Our Virginia Home Inspector license is #3380002196; Virginia DPOR’s license lookup provides the public licensing record.
Local service with time for your questions
We serve Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Bonsack, Hollins, Daleville, Fincastle, Catawba, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Lynchburg, Rocky Mount, Hardy, Moneta, Goodview, and Smith Mountain Lake, and nearby Southwest Virginia communities.
You can attend the inspection, ask questions while we work, and call again after the same-day report arrives. When a condition needs evaluation beyond a general home inspection, we will recommend the appropriate specialist.
For qualifying buyer or seller inspections performed as part of a real estate transaction, the InterNACHI We’ll Buy Your Home Guarantee provides additional protection if a covered item is missed. Eligibility and exclusions are explained in the program terms.

Meet your inspector
Jeff founded Level Home Inspections in Roanoke in 2024 and performs every inspection himself. He is a Virginia licensed home inspector (#3380002196), an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, IAC2 certified for mold and radon, and an NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist.
Before inspecting homes, Jeff managed fabrication shops and live event venues, where the work meant building things that had to hold up and keeping large power systems running safely. That included hands-on carpentry and fabrication, power distribution for big lighting and sound systems, and the low-voltage side too: control wiring, signal runs and data networks. Summers on construction crews added framing and carpentry, and time with a solar installation company added a solid grounding in residential electrical work and solar systems.
He is also renovating a historic home of his own, one project at a time, so he knows what it is like to open a wall and find something nobody planned for. He brings all of that to every inspection: a careful look at how a house is built, powered and kept dry, explained in plain language.
